I had a great day yesterday with my fellow StoryVine writers, Rowen Wilde and Sue Newgas, at the Warwick Words Family Fun Day.
Upstairs in the Market Hall Museum, we draped our vine around the room and got ready for our first session at quarter past ten.
StoryVine were supposed to be there for just two half hour story times, but we were kept busy all day reading stories to a steady stream of children and their parents and grandparents. I tried out my new story, reading it in public for the first time (several times over by the end of the day!) and would like to thank one particular granddad who helped me to find the perfect ending.
One lovely family sent in this feedback:
“We’ve just come back from a family day out at the story session in the library and then the face painting and making books in the museum. We wanted to say a big thank you as we had such a great time at the event and all the staff were so lovely and friendly.”
